DIRECTIVE FROM THE MIDWEST RFU
This directive will be strictly enforced by the Referees.
Referees are to STRICTLY penalize any form foul play in any contact
situation whether it is at the tackle, ruck, maul or other phase of
the game. Players who commit such acts are to be sin-binned or, if
warranted, sent-off without warning. If foul play by one or both
sides is chronic, the referee is to abandon the match.
Players who commit unsportsmanlike acts are to be to sin-binned or, if
warranted, sent-off without warning. These acts include the use of
foul language, taunting of opponents or other acts the referee feels
may put the game in disrepute. If unsportsmanlike acts are chronic
by one or both sides, the referee is to abandon the match.
Referees are to sin-bin the captain of a team if a team's coaches,
staff or substitute players act in a unsportsmanlike manner. If the
acts continue the referee is instructed to abandon the match.
Referees will only begin a game if there are spectator barriers on
both sides of the pitch. This barrier is to extend from dead-ball to
dead-ball line and to be no closer than five meter s to the touchline.
The referee may allow up to 1 (one) coach and 1 (one) trainer between
the spectator barrier and the touchline. If the coach comes on the
field without the permission of the referee, the referee is to
instruct the coach to spend the rest of the game behind the barrier.
There is no second chance.
Remember we have a referee shortage in CARFU. CARFURS's Referees will
not referee games of teams that abuse referees. They will contact the
appropriate disciplinary chairman and report the abuse. Sanctions
could include banning a team from the Midwest playoffs
