In Emergency

Here you will find useful articles which parents and rugby personnel can use in case of emergency.

Article 1
All participants will be dues paying members of USA Rugby and their respective clubs.

Article 2
All participants will complete the Informed Consent and Emergency Contact and Information Sheet (22k Word doc.) before participation in any non-classroom activity.

Article 3
All sessions will be supervised by a designee of the rugby club’s Board of Directors.

Article 4
Two copies of each participant’s Emergency Contact and Information Sheet will be kept in a notebook and said notebook will be at the site of every non-classroom session. In any situation in which a participant will require transportation to a medical facility, one copy of that person’s Emergency Contact and Information Sheet will be given to the personnel providing transportation.

Article 5
A first aid kit will be taken to every non-classroom assembly and will be placed in the immediate area of said session. In the event of an injury, an Injury Incident Report form will be filled out and kept on file.

Article 6
A functioning cellular telephone will be taken to every non-classroom assembly.

Article 7
Lacerations.

Article 8
Injuries to the eyes, nose, mouth and throat.

Article 9
Musculoskeletal injury with obvious deformity.

Article 10
Musculoskeletal injury without deformity.

Article 11
Suspected spinal/neck injury.

Article 12
Obvious or suspected concussion/head injury.

Article 13
Follow-up contact with parent/guardian.

Article 14
Return to contact activity.

Article 15
Presence of Athletic Trainer.
